into the social life and working conditions of ‘Simsville’.
It involved the establishment of a sawmill, logging 
tramways in the State forest and outlet tramways 
to the Port at Allworth, on the Karuah River, from 
where the timber was transported to Sydney in 
shallow draft steamers  Ian started research for this 
book 30 yrs ago, interviewing many former employees 
and residents. It contains detailed maps, tramway routes etc....
