Welcome to the Stroud and District Historical Society website. Location Stroud is just over an hour from Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia and just under two hour's drive from the Hunter Valley wine region. The Historical Society The Historical Society is managed by local volunteers. Stroud has a rich, local history and was first settled in 1826 by the Australian Agricultural Company.

Opening hours

• The Quambi Museum and Courthouse Museum are open every Sunday from 11am to 3pm.

• Tours and catering are available on other days for groups of 20 or more, please contact us for further details.
